Dear WCFPD community,
We want you to know that the health, safety and well-being of our community is, and always will be, our highest priority. We are committed to always maintaining a high level of readiness to serve our community under a variety of scenarios including those specific to the potential threat of the Coronavirus.
As we all work together to address the global COVID-19 pandemic, we appreciate the diligent steps our local Health Departments are taking in support of our mission. Leaders of your community and at the Fire District level are continuing to receive updates from our health and emergency management experts as well as state and regional incident command teams to communicate with the public on safety precautions, travel guidance and other necessary actions as needed. As with any rapidly evolving situation, we are adapting plans and contingencies to best serve our community.
Now more than ever, our collaboration is necessary so we may maintain working continuity while preserving the health and safety of our community. In support of these efforts, WCFPD is asking for you to refer to local, regional, state, and federal resources for information for your use. Please keep in mind much of the information on social media is inaccurate information. Find and utilize official resources to enhance your decision making and improve your safety.
With that in mind and out of an abundance of caution, the WCFPD has taken steps to minimize exposure to our members and we are requesting people who are not directly involved in mission critical business to NOT visit Fire District facilities at this time. We are exploring ways to facilitate connecting and communicating with our community regarding permits and inspections and other District programs.
As stated, this is a fluid situation. We will continue to monitor the situation, evaluate additional measures to support our community, and share information on response impacts should they arise. As always, we are available at firstname.lastname@example.org and 636-745-2262.
WCFPD wants to be in contact with you in case of an emergency!
