Firehouse #3, built in 1995, was originally designed for a volunteer fire department model, which no longer meets the demands of our modern emergency services.

This firehouse lacks essential sleeping and office areas, making it challenging for our volunteer Firefighters to perform effectively during their shifts.

The station does not even have a domestic water line, which is obviously critical for basic needs. Having adequate space for rest and preparation is crucial for their well-being and readiness.

Additionally, the current layout offers minimal room for modern fire apparatus, which are larger and more sophisticated than ever. This limitation restricts our ability to equip our firefighters with the latest tools and vehicles necessary to respond effectively to emergencies.

Remodeling Firehouse #3 with the proceeds from Proposition F will not only enhance the working conditions for our dedicated volunteer Firefighters but also improve our overall emergency response capabilities. Importantly, this remodel is essential for accommodating career staff in the future, ensuring that we can support a professional team ready to serve our community.

By investing in this remodel, taxpayers will be supporting a more efficient fire service that is better prepared to protect our community and respond to emergencies swiftly and effectively. This modernization is not just an upgrade; it's a commitment to safety, service, and the well-being of both our firefighters and the residents they serve.
